I've had acrylic cases made for two clocks (one is a Jeff Thomas WWVB clock) and a decatron thingy.... and eventually, all 3 developed bubbling in the joints. One was perfect for almost 10 years. The other two developed the bubbling within a year. All 3 made by the same local craftsman. None of them see any significant sunlight or temperature extremes.
I wonder if the adhesives have improved, or if newly made cases would still develop the same bubbling in the joints?
