The campaign offers 1, 4 or 6 tubes for a “personal project”. On Facebook Millclock said that even with the electronics in the base, the tubes can be used directly without their software just like a conventional nixie. So it’s not as proprietary as I expected.
The normal IN-18 socket compatibility is good news. Maybe now I will pledge for one tube in the end.
