They are also the smallest I could find. There are slightly bigger ones that look the same that you can take the back off, then you could stuff any kind of light in there you like, assuming the display is translucent I guess. You can also get LED backlit meters. I couldn’t find a DC meter with a suitable scale, so I just bought the AC one and put a suitable resistor in series. I had bought one of the bigger ones to see how they make them into AC meters, and it is basically just a diode. These kinds of meter are used in some tube amps for “adjusting the bias”, so they are really specced for that purpose.
