The current design is aimed at tubes with the voltage requirements of a 2BP1 CV3678 they turn up on Ebay regularly. CRTs requiring about 1kV final acceleration voltage should be fine.

The design is based on a self contained CRT driver "block" connected by a serial bus (I2C) back to a master controller. You should be able to add up to 32 (!) modules to the bus but I guess 4 or 6 would be the norm. A bit like a smart socket in some regards.

Continued work on the prototype is delay by (a) moving house (b) fitting out a new workshop (c) completing the dekatron clock.
