Hi, this is Jörg from Germany. I live in Hamburg and working as bigdata devops for a retail company. I love to fiddle with electronics and programming. During my move to Hamburg in 2012, I found a tube in an forgotten electronics box of mine. Turns out, that it was a Nixie ZM1000 of an old SW TV set, which I've salvaged 25 years ago. So curiousity wins, I want to get this to glow. An 555 driven power supply, a PIC16F84 and some C code later, the tube regains live. That was the start to deep dive into microprocessor programming and love to Neon-Nixie glow. In the meantime I‘ve learned to work with Eagle and PIC programming. SMT gets really fast my friend. I love electronics small sized. I've build some clocks using the small NL5870, a GIPS-16 selfscan clock and build a IV-18 VFD in a 4,5 x 4,5 x 4,5 concrete case. My best project is currently a 16/32 bargraph graphics analyzer based on IN-13 tubes. It is fantastic to listen and see music.
All the best for you, I love this group. It is inspires me much. Jörg -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group.
