I purchase most of my stuff from Digikey and Adafruit, with a few items from Aliexpress. I've never had a problem with Aliexpress, just keep in mind the long lead times (~6 weeks). I've also used Pololu Robotics and Electronics, http://www.pololu.com They have a laser-cutting service that has come in handy.
