Jeff didn't really do firmware - his clocks generally used firmware written by another person. Updates for Jeff's firmware should be available from Michael Barile on a MCU exchange basis. Pete's GPSFLW uses Pete's firmware, I believe. So if he is still updating it you should be able to get the clock updated (but possibly by return exchange). I believe the CPU is soldered in (unlike the socketed CPUs on Jeff's clocks) and the CPU runs the HV power supply under software control. That means that if you use an in-circuit programmer (USBASP or similar) and hold the CPU in a halted state while flashing it, parts of the HV supply can overheat and burn up. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group.
