If you are asking about how to replace a broken Nixie that is soldered I 
usually cut off the pins on the broken nixie, leaving them in the holes and 
just removing the Nixie itself, and then de-solder one pin at a time using 
suction or solder braid to remove the solder from the hole, then you can 
just put a new Nixie in place of the old one. Something like removing an ic 
like it is done here:
