It breaks my heart when I read about a shattered nixie tube, especially the expensive or rare ones that are hard to come by.
A few days ago, I managed to snag a B7971 for $150 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/296659825390). And the day before, a miracle happened. I got two B5971s in boxes for $35 each (https://www.ebay.com/itm/135215259536).
