I was paying USD$4.00 for used and USD$5.00 for NOS from Meshna in 1979. 
Inflation went wild starting in 1973 with the oil embargo and sudden rise 
in energy prices. I had gotten board with two tubes from Poly-Paks around 
1977 for I believe USD$8.00. It was a lot of money for a guy with a paper 
route. By 1979 I had a summer job between 11th and 12th grade so was 
earning more money.
