Encore is a broadcast console. Unless it was specificly modified for
recording, the routing is not suited for same. That being said, it is a
high quality product with the most sophisticated EQ Neotek has made. It
features the well known 4 band, dbl Q settings similar to S1E or S2-S3. It
also has high and low pass filters. You can turn the pass filters, High-Low
EQ, and Mid-sweep EQ on and off IDEPENDENTLY. This is the only Neotek
console I know of that features that. The Mic pres are very good, not quite
as good as The EliteII/ElanII IMHO. I had SYTEK rack 2 EQ sections for the
2-bus for me (Elan II) to have some EQ there but keep the Neotek mojo if
desired. I like them very much.

Subject: NEOTEK: Neotek Encore

Dear users, I'm new to this list so please be gentle...

However, I've been given the opportunity to buy a Neotek Encore at a fair
price, but to be honest I know too little about this desk to know if to go
for it or not. Anyone?

Best regards
