Thanks so much for the response. I'm going to check the input modules
for a short first to see if that's the problem but I'm guessing the
more likely problem would be the caps. I'll let you know how it goes.
Really appreciate the advice.

(Elite, Elan, Etc.) had a problem with the .1uf ceramic caps in that
position. I just looked at my Series-II docs, and it has a 4u7, 63
volt electrolytic in that position (C-104). So the S-1 might have
either kind of cap, and electrolytic caps can also fail short.
One other thing I would do is check all of the inputs with either
a dynamic mic or a passive DI and see if you get the same level on
every channel. If not, there may be a short of another kind (like
Pin-2 or 3 shorted to ground) that is dragging down the 48v rail.

with an Acopian and now the console works great.
The problem is that the power supply is putting out 48V which is
getting to the master section module via the pigtail, but once the
molex is plugged into the master section I notice a voltage drop
and phantom power is NOT distributed to the input modules like it
was before the power supply went. When I unplug the molex and test
the output voltage from the power supply, it's 48V.
I can't seem to find a local tech who is too knowledgeable about
this. Any suggestions/solutions/advice would be much appreciated.
