Hi. I am seriously considering purchasing a Series 2 console and was wondering what people thought of them. I know Neoteks are known for being very clean consoles. Is there any difference in Series 1, 2, and 3 as far as color. I generally like consoles that have a "sound" to them. From what I have read it seems that series 2 may have a bit more color than series 3. Is this true? Neoteks are attractive to me because of their simple and high quality audio path/design. That being said, are there any recommended modifications that can be made? I know that the op amps can be replaced with Burr Brown chips. However, I don't know much about op amp designs, as my main experience is with Neve 80 series desks.
Does anyone know of an inexpensive moving fader automation system that could be installed? Flying Faders is too expensive. It's 6 times the price of the console! Thanks for your time. Matt
