Making progress on the Series 1... I have a few questions though, which I started to address earlier but ended up trying to solve my own problem.
On the back of my ADC panel ( I have 3 of them) I followed the wiring enough to figure out that A seems to be the main panel, and B and C work off of this other patchbay on the top of the console which is all labeled but probably useless to me at the moment. I also have an load of wires already dangling from when this was cut from the wall :) So trying to figure out things is hard yet easier in a way since I have something to sort of follow... I figured out that the inputs to the channels were #1-12 (logically), but I was having a hard time getting the output to work, other than through the headphone jack. I thought the other day I was able to make the output for an individual channel work using the terminals directly below it, but today it didn't seem to be working. I then traced the stereo outs (or what I think are the stereo outs) to terminals 39 and 40. Here's the problem. I do get output from them (I'm testing on a small guitar amp). The output is VERY low from these, but if I go through the headphone jack it's super loud. I'm using 1/4" cables from a spare console I have that I just cut and spliced into the existing cables on the panel. I mean it works, or it seems to work, but why would the output be so low with everything cranked? Do the stereo outs have to go into some kind of power amp? I wish I had a manual for this thing - it's next to impossible and extremely time consuming having to guess a patch panel that means nothing without trial and error. Was there ever some kind of standard for these? Sorry for the long confusing mess! I'm making progress though! Mike T
