Hi Jim

I looked at Digikey, Mouser, Newark, Allied...... They all list it but they don't have any in stock, and they say it is obsolete or they have a minimum order of several hundred. Newark has something that should work but it has no information or a datasheet. I might just order this and cross my fingers:

I looked at all the SG4501 info and the transistor datasheets on your Neotek page it has been very helpful. I'm just not 100% sure how exact this part needs to be.

Of course I'll replace the tip140 transistor with a NPN version of whatever I find to serve as the PNP part.

Thanks for all your help,
Jared

Hi Jared,

I'm about certain I got them from Mouser................not sure about substitutions though. Check the Neotek web page, I may have put up the application notes for them. BTW, if one goes, I replace the other at the same time.

Regards, Jim

I have a TPS-05 power supply (the small one) that has gone down. It appears that one of the power transistors has failed. It is a tip145. I've done some looking and not finding this exact part available anywhere. Can I replace it with a tip146 or 147? Or does anyone know of a different transistor that would work.

I have a schematic and some data sheets if anyone cares to look at them.

Thanks,
Jared
