Hi guys-- I have a 28-input Series II and on some mixes, I could use more channels for reverbs, delays, etc. So I am thinking of getting a little "sidecar". Thing is, I don't have the space or money for a baby Neve or even a baby Neotek. For my application, it'd probably be okay to use something like a Mackie 1604. However, I know Yamaha and Allen and Heath-- among others-- make similar compact pretty-decent-seeming compact mixers.
Does anyone have any experience with the mixers of this type? Is there a "best in breed"? I trust your opinions more than those of the Information Superhighway, so if anyone could weigh in, I'd be highly appreciative! Thanks! Matt
