It could have been a lot worse. Our studio is in an old industrial building and many different residents suffered damage. The downstairs business lost a bunch of things including the motor to this massive industrial garage door. The Surgex units look great. You get what you pay for, but is there anything out there a little more affordable? Will any of the Furman units protect against freakishly strong surges?

I'd really suggest a top notch surge suppressor. We've used the Surgex units for years in several applications (studio, lab- shop, computers, etc.) and suggested them to many clients as well.
