Just wanted to thank Ike Zimbel for upgrading the master module on my SII. I liked the sound of it stock but felt like the balance and overall audio performance could be improved. I discovered Ike on this list and actually got a chance to meet him at the last AES in San Francisco where he offered advice on fixing a intermittent issue with my board. He also had one of his insert kits on display and I was really impressed with the engineering put into improving what I thought was one of the flaws with older Neotek boards. I decided to contact him recently to get his thoughts on improving my master module and he was very informative on options and recommendations for upgrading. I decided to send off my modules (2 mix module as well) to have them upgraded. Not only was the turnaround extremely fast but the results were beyond my expectations. Only had it back a few weeks and the last few sessions were met with noticeable improvements by myself and the other engineer in my studio. There is a very noticeable improvement in the balance and gain between channels as before it was always difficult to get a precision output with the L channel always being slightly hotter. Another thing we noticed was that final mixes had more even clarity across the whole freq domain where as before there seemed to be a lack of highs, nothing too bad but now with the upgrade we are hearing things in the upper register better. He also tidy up some cold joints as well as some iffy lead's. I can't say how much I recommend Ike's work and wanted to give him props again on the board as without this list I would have never been able to find such a good tech. Regards, Jarrod
