I tried to make a detached scan (emailed results) in batch mode and it didn't.
also, the SAVE KB option seems to be ignored in batch mode also. First I created a .nessusrc: in normal client, I connected to nessus server, made my selections, selected detached scan (and email address) and ran it. It emailed me. It didn't save KB. then I tried to 'batch' same thing without X running: (in preperation of doing cronjobs) nessus -q localhost 1241 USERNAME PASSWORD targets.in results.out It did not email me (didn't even try) It was using same /root/.nessusrc (which had the detached scan option from x session, and.. another funny thing. nessusd.messages shows KB being saved, and I verified it there.
