When selecting to scan using the following nmap features within the gui, the following process is run. ps -ef nmap -n -F -sS -sU -sR -O -I -f -r "hosts" I was initially concerned as to why nmap scans took forever, after some debugging, the following was discovered. Nmap (in debug mode) -I (Identd) complains that it depends on -sT (TCP connect) and -f complains that fragmentation may or may not work on anything other than Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD or NetBSD.
