Hi,
I've just installed nessus 1.1.13 on a linux box and when I try and run
nessus-adduser I get:
[argus@kaka argus]$ sudo /usr/local/sbin/nessus-adduser
[Wed Feb 27 14:10:25 2002][28434] nessusd 1.1.13 is starting up
[Wed Feb 27 14:10:25 2002][28439] nessusd 1.1.13 is starting up
[Wed Feb 27 14:10:25 2002][28442] nessusd 1.1.13 is starting up
You must define the user data base entry "nessusd_users = ..." in the
configuration file "/usr/local/etc/nessus/nessusd.conf"!
here is my conf file:
[argus@kaka argus]$ cat /usr/local/etc/nessus/nessusd.conf
#
# Added by nessus-mkcert
#
cert_file=/usr/local/com/nessus/CA/servercert.pem
key_file=/usr/local/var/nessus/CA/serverkey.pem
ca_file=/usr/local/com/nessus/CA/cacert.pem
# If you decide to protect your private key with a password,
# uncomment and change next line
# pem_password=password
# If you want to force the use of a client certificate, uncomment next
line
# force_pubkey_auth = yes
nessusd_users =/usr/local/etc/nessus/nessusd-users
file exists but is empty:
[argus@kaka argus]$ sudo ls -l /usr/local/etc/nessus/nessusd-users
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Feb 27 14:23
/usr/local/etc/nessus/nessusd-users
I'm obviously missing something, can anyone help?
