Hello Again !

If I generate an nmap file can I use this to decide which tests are done (on
a later scan) based on the results of the previous nmap scan ? I know I
could manually create a nessusrc file using the results but can I get Nessus
to do it by just pointing it to the file ? If so where do I do this ?

Cheers

Justin

Hmmm...

I think I just found my answer...below...However if I enable the Ping as it
says and the host is firewalled it will fail and then the host will be
skipped ??

opimize_test won't help here. This option runs the 'plugin preselection'
that I explained on this list weeks ago. Read the archives if you are
interested in what it does.

Your problem is due to the 'ping'. I suggest you enable the 'ping hosts'
option of nmap, in the 'prefs plugins.' section.
