Thank you for your assistance, I've provided more detail below ... I think I've discovered the cause. The Nessus 1.1.13 GUI will only save "worthy" detail i.e security warnings, notes & holes etc. Interesting though that the NessusWX GUI saves everything it reports, irrespective of what is "worthy", which is great for auditing. I can't recall 1.0.10 leaving out this detail in saved reports. When performing a Nessus nmap audit scan (1.1.13 GUI) i.e. no plugins, the scan completes successfully i.e. reports expected known & unknown ports it discovered & general/tcp info i.e. OS info etc. Should I now proceed with saving this report in HTML format (choosing HTML format & saving as "file".html), the HTML saved report only saved "worthy" detail i.e security warnings, notes & holes etc ... and NOT the complete findings.
