Hi all,

Firstly, my apologies if this has been asked before - I found the same
question asked a while back on the mailing list archives, but no
answers...

I am running Nessus 1.1.14 on a Debian install with a 2.2.19 kernel,
logged in as root. Everything works wonderfully, except for the
nessus-update-plugins function.

When I run this, it downloads a file to /tmp/[temp
dir]/X###-####TMP.tar.gz, and then stops with the following error:

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
cp: *.nasl: No such file or directory
cp: *.inc: No such file or directory

The temp file seems to be valid - I can manually unzip and untar it
without a problem.

Any clues from anyone? Sorry if it's a simple one - I make no pretence
of being a linux guru at all. :-)

Thanks,
Dave
