All,

I tried using NASL directly to evaluate a host for a single vulnerability,
but only get the following output:

[root@computername plugins]# nasl -t xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx smb_nt_ms02-008.nasl
smb_nt_ms02-008.nasl : Warning : evaluating unknown variable - description

After trying this a couple of times and seeing no helpful info in
nessusd.messages, I decided to redirect the output of my command to that
log, which appeared to result in a dump file with the following entries
repeatedly:

/usr/local/lib/nessus/plugins/smb_dom2sid.nasl - Requesting s[139] whereas
s's l
ength is 133 !
/usr/local/lib/nessus/plugins/smb_enum_services.nasl - Requesting
data[2097240]
whereas data's length is 1964 !
/usr/local/lib/nessus/plugins/smb_enum_services.nasl - Requesting
data[2097240]
whereas data's length is 1964 !
/usr/local/lib/nessus/plugins/smb_enum_services.nasl - Requesting
data[2097241]
whereas data's length is 1964 !

The above goes on for a total of 1.6 MB. Additionally, nessusd.messages was
zeroed out. Anyone have any ideas about this? Specifically, what am I doing
wrong when trying to use NASL directly?
