Folks I have been running Nessus V1.20 in DOS mode against one of our test systems running Solaris 8 with latest security patches. The client also has tcp wrapper installed V7.6 tcpd has been configured to send a warning mail if a certain port is scanned.
The problem is that in DOS mode tcpd never sends out any mail also the telnetd daemon goes and hogs the CPU at 99% and never recovers. Does any body know how to fix either of these problems on the client. Thank you Matt Matthew Garrett Unix System Support
