I checked the archives but have'nt seen any good answer to this...

Given a standard PIII-850, 512 MB RAM, 18.2 GB Disk host, which OS
would be the "best" for a Nessus scanning host? What if I had a dual
processor, would that chaneg your mind?

Debian 2.2r6
FreeBSD 4.4
FreeBSD 4.5
FreeBSD 4,6 (due out by June 1st)
OpenBSD 2.9
OpenBSD 3.0
OpenBSD 3.1 (soon to be released)
RedHat 6.2
RedHat 7.2
RedHat 7.3
SuSE 7.3
SuSE 8.0
All of these work, but which would make the "faster" scanning host, with
least compile issues, and most out of the box security? I lean towards OpenBSD
for security issues, and FreeBSD for performance, and RedHat for compile
ease, but is that the general concensus?
