Hi,
first of all, greetings to the list, as this' my first message :-)

I'd like to know if there's a safe way to check if some smb positives
are false; in particular the registry ones: the ones that warn about registry
keys readable or writable to everyone. I've read the plugins that check for
these vulnerabilities, but I'm afraid I don't know very well if I can trust
them or not O:-) So, if there was some kind of tool to check for these things
outside Nessus, or some "trick", or something, I'd like to know :-) I'm using
Linux, so tools/tricks available for this OS are preferred.

Another way of answering my question: how "truthful" are the plugins
that check for these vulnerabilities? In your experience, do they give many
false positives? Are they always right?

        Thanks in advance :-)
