I've Nessus 1.2.1 with full SSL (0.9.6c) support happily running on 
MacOS 10.1.5 on a 667 TiBook... In other words,

After an initial false start, where make got confused so I had to wipe 
all of Nessus from the machine and start anew, compilation went thru 
cleanly and everything works just fine.

Try it, you'll like it !
