Betreff: AW: Nessus scan stops after 3hours and the process is " KILLED"

Hi,

sorry: my fault!

I don't run 600 nessus clients. I have 600 computers to scan...

The nessusd.message file ends with an ordinary message:

[Sun Aug 25 17:41:20 2002][25269] checkpoint.nasl (process 24784) finished
its job in 0.53 seconds

after that comment the process was killed

Check out the nessusd message file.

And I do not think you have 600 machines starting to run nessus from a
single server.

To set things straight:

 Server: runs nessusd
Client: run nessus (unix) or nessuswx (windows)
Victim: All those machines you want to be tested for network
                vunerabilities.

Hugo.
