Hi, all,

There seems to be several ways of transferring Nessus scan results to a
MySql database, but I have seen no discussion about actually doing
something with the data once it is in the database. I am using NessusWx to
scan and export the results to a MySql database.

Not being a SQL or PHP programmer -- an an unpaid volunteer to boot -- I
have been hoping somebody was working on a web-based interface to extract
data _FROM_ the database, based on some arbitrary selection criteria. I
suppose that displaying the output in some sensible way is likely to be a
problem, however.

I would envision such an interface could help a busy network security
person who is responsible for a great many subnets to inventory how many
machines there are, what operating systems are in use, which machines have
serious unpatched security issues, etc.

Is such an interface under development? Does it already exist? Am I being
naive in my goals? Am I going to have to learn still more languages and
try to do it myself? Comments, suggestions greatly appreciated!
