They do have a windows client but you will still need the nessusd installed on a unix
or linux box. There really isn't anything you can do to get away from that if you want
to use Nessus. There are a bunch of other scanners for windows out there and they all
range in there capabilities. The commercial products are good but you will pay a truck
load to get them. I have used ISS and Nessus and I prefer Nessus because you can write
your own scripts for scanning and the updates for nessus are available quicker.
Anyway, your call just my .02.
