So most packets are dropped. Which port range did you ask nmap to scan
for ? Which kind of scan did you select ?
If you selected UDP scan against 65K ports, then it's "normal" to have
to wait for a lot of time before the scan completes (yes, 24h of portscan
is not uncommon).
