Hi! I'm using the latest versions of Nessus and NessusWX. Here's my problem:
When scanning linux or HP-UX boxes, they all get stuck at SNMP Scan or tcp connect() scan. Only if I disable both of these in NessusWX will my scans complete. Windows boxes don't seem to have a problem with these two scan types. Also, I noticed that the Nmap scan type by default does a tcp connect scan. Does this conflict in some way with the separate tcp connect() scan type? BTW: As far as I know, I'm not running any snmp services on my linux or hp-ux boxes. So, is the snmp scan even needed?
