I hava the same problem because I start the nessus probing on network/24

Is there any way to bypass the complete set of test if the host seems to be down ?

Is there an option to set a timeout on which to completely give
up on a box.

I have the do TCP and ICMP boxes ticked but perhaps there is something
else?
