There was a memory leak in nessusd in 1.2.6 - See Renaud's email of 1/13/2003 "Re: Nessus 1.2.6 memory leak, fixed in 1.2.7" for details. Plugins appear to run, but are in fact not doing anything. You would need to shutdown/restart nessus occasionally or upgrade to 1.2.7

I am running 1.2.6 on two RH servers, one 7.3 and one 8.0. The only changes I've made in weeks is updating the plugins, and this is done daily with a cron job. Last week, at least through Thursday, scans seemed to be fine. Now, this week, the only data in the reports are "open ports" and Lows. No warnings or high data. I loaded 1.2.7 on another machine and the scans seem to be fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks, John B. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
