New to Nessus issues with HP-UX scans

Hello all,   I am very new to Nessus and to Linux. That being said, here are the issues I face. I loaded Nessus 2.0.0 on Mandrake 9.0 and have been trying to scan our HP-UX systems. I have the default plugins with all but dangerous plugins checked. The issues I am running into is, Nessus seems to disables NIS server and client and slowly kills NFS and automounter along with ecotools and OVO processes. Have any of you run into these issues....Also, I am sure its what I am scanning for or maybe its the port scanning? If any of you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.
