Here is the fix for this problem: Download openssl-0.9.7a from ftp.openssl.org and untar and copy the contents from: /openssl-0.9.7a/include/openssl To /usr/include/openssl
Then compile nessus and all is well. Seems that RH has a slightly different distro of openssl. Hope this helps out!
