I have installed nessus 2.0.6 for Darwin. nmap V. 3.00 The problem is that it gives me the message for a host I know is up and running and should be possible to scan:
[Wed Jun 4 11:27:51 2003][774] user maria : The remote host (XXXX) is dead (taken from the nessusd.message file and machine name removed) However, it is perfectly possible to both ping and scan this host manually with nmap, but not from nessus. If I uncheck all "scan options" (i.e. no nmap, no ping) nessus will run the plugins. Regards --Maria
