Hi

I looked for help on this in the message archive and could not find any clues.
I have been trying to follow the README.WINDOWS file that ships with the Nessus source
but I am not able to build Nessus (I tried the nessus-libraries first) on my Win2000
box with M$ VC++ 6.0 compiler.
I did the ./configure and then make win32 on my Debian Linux box, then transferred the
files over to my Win2000 box using ftp. Then when I try nmake, I get the following
error:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
You probably forgot to prepare this package
on a Unix machine unsing "make win32"
------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like the nmake is trying to build the non-existant PEKS\version.h file.

Any help on where I am going wrong would be highly appreciated.
I am certain many have tried this before: I am looking into the feasibility of porting
Nessusd for Windows as a class project. Any advice on this? I found a lot of
conditional compiles (based on NESSUSD) in nessusd.c source.

Thanks,
Santosh
