Is there any way to pause a scan and resume it? If not, are there any plans to implement this feature? I searched the list archive and it appears this question has been asked once before, but not answered.
You could open a wishlst bug at bugs.nessus.org for this feature. But, the way I do it, is to setup KB saving before running any scan, start the scan and, if I want to pause it, stop the scan and the rerun it later on. If you have properly configured your KB reuse you will startup at the same place you were before stopping the scan.
Of course this does not work if you are running the port scanner plugins since stopping them in the middle does not save status information in the KB. So this only works once you have gone through the (1st) port-scanning phase of the scan.
