I have downloaded Nessus 2.0.7 using the 'easy and less dnagerous way' 'cos I'm only feeling my way with this, and run the installation (sh nessus-installer.sh), with the output going to a particular directory where I have lots of space rather than the /usr/local/bin area
Everything seems to go OK but then I get the following: >>x -- Compiling >>599/1000 nodes(%e), 1881/2500 positions(%p), 214/500 (%n), 13220 transitions, 14 >>sses(%k), 1473/3000 packed transitions(%a), 1694/3000 output slots(%o) >>cpp: "includes.h", line 181: warning 2013: Unknown preprocessing directive. >>cpp: "ntcompat.h", line 63: warning 2013: Unknown preprocessing directive. >>cpp: "plugutils.c", line 1616: error 4029: #endif without matching #if. >> >>Stop. >> >>Stop. >>**** An error occured :/ In the resultant log file, the last commands/messages are: >> cc -I../ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I/usr/oracle/data/nessus-installer.24129/nessus-li >>/oracle/data/nessus-installer.24129/nessus-libraries/libpcap-nessus -O -c plugut >>bs/plugutils.lo >>*** Error exit code 1 >>*** Error exit code 1 where the >> are mine to indicate quotation Any ideas ? I suspect my own inadequacies here !
