Are the systems you are trying to scan in a domain? If so, try to get a
Domain Admin level account (even temporarily) and run the scan again.
If you are doing this to help combat nachi, they should be willing to
give you the access.

Also, look at psinfo (for Windows), part of the pstools from
Sysinternals (http://www.sysinternals.com). It will tell you this sort
of stuff:

Subject: Remotely determine Sevice pack / Alternatives???

I have a need to scan a class B and remotely determine
anything pre nt4.0 SP6a. I know there is a plugin
10401 that is suppose to do this via the registry, but
it that it is either not working, or I don't have the
proper permissions. Is there perhaps another
vulnerability that only exists pre SP6 that I can scan
for? I'm reading the SP6 fixes but have come up with
nothing in which I can come up with an alternative
plugin to determine if a machine is pre sp6.

Also, if there is ANY other way besides the obvious
SMS to determine (I've tried nmap -O). please let me
know

Thanks in advance.
-Robert

P.S. This has to do with our (rather our desktop guys)
efforts in the battle for good vs. nachi.
