There is no requirement that the client configuration file be called
.nessusrc, although you will need to invoke nessus using the option
--config-file.

One thing to keep in mind is that Nessus will automatically enable any
plugins not listed in your configuration file (or any non DoS plugins if
safe_checks is true).  This might be a problem, for example, if you
periodically run nessus-update-plugins.  My update-nessusrc script will
help you avoid problems because of this; see
