This may well be a really dumb question...
- installing on a FreeBSD 4.9 i386, on to a dell pe2500 - running all commands as root
I got the latest nessus tars from the download site got bison and m4 from gnu site, installed m4 and tried to install bison and it complains thus -
checking for m4... /usr/bin/m4 checking whether m4 supports frozen files... no configure: error: GNU M4 1.4 is required
I installed m4 by gunzipping it untarring it, running a './configure' and then a 'make' then 'install make' all seemed to go fine.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Peter.
