Tuomas, I've seen weird things happening with HP 4108 switches: whenever I scan one of them (the production ones, to be more specific), they stop responding to telnet connection requests, so I can't remote-admin them anymore. They still keep working, but config changes can't be made until the things are rebooted.
I could never reproduce the problem in the lab, so my guess is that it only happens when the switch is under some amount of load. We don't have any sort of mesh set up...
