Short answer, yes. Something like: nessus -n -c nessusrc -V -T nsr -q 127.0.0.1 1241 user pass nessus-targets target.Nov21-2003.nsr
That tells nessus to use the nessusrc in the current directory as the config file (I typically take a GUI-created config and copy it to the working directory and make modifications). This also assumes that the nessus scanner and client are on the same machine (127.0.0.1) and using the default port (1241). The authentication to nessus is user/pass. The targets for the scan are in the text file nessus-targets. A log file will be created in the nsr format. Once the scan is done, you can convert the nsr output to text or other outputs with something like "nessus -I Nov21-2003.nsr -o Nov21-2003.text". There are a whole lot of different ways to do this but this should get you started in the right direction. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, November 21, 2003 9:08 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: it possible start nessus scan automatically with command line? it possible start nessus scan automatically with command line?
