I've installed nessus 1.0.9 from source on Red Hat 9 and have the daemon and the
plugin update script running. I seem to have a problem that is not common because I
did not find this in the FAQ nor in other posts in the mailing lists.

My basic problem is that after installing I did not have e nessusd.conf file, so I
made my own which has this line:

nessusd_users=/usr/local/etc/nessus

When I run nessus-adduser I get:

You must define the user data base entry "nessusd_users = ..." in the
configuration file "/usr/local/etc/nessus/nessusd.conf"!

I tried adding a trailing / to the line in the conf file and even the name of a file
to hold this database but nothing helped.

Could someone point me to the right place to read up on this or explain hos to
sonfigure this part?

Thanks.

Miguel
