I updated my plugins yesterday for Nessus installed on a RH9. I connected to the Nessus server with NessusWX on my local Win2K client. I then initiated a scan against my Win2K box for the ASN.1 vulnerability. It had not yet been patched. I had no report on this particular vulnerability. So, a few questions:
1) To test for that vuln alone, is anything more than the ANS.1 Parsing Vulnerability plugin needed (assuming dependencies are handled automatically)?
2) Is there a problem initiated a scan remotely to scan the machine from where the request origninates?
Thanks, Jason Brooks
