Glad to see some Chinese on this
list. It's hard to answer this question because there will be many
different situations, first I assume 2 hosts are in the same subnet/vlan
and the switch/hub didn't filter any traffice between them, if not, there
is no any certain answers at all.
you run nessusd and nessus client
form host A which ip address is a.a.a.a and scan A itself, if you input the scan
target's ip is a.a.a.a but not 127.0.0.1, I think the result is almost the same
for you scan form another running nessusd host B. and if you use
127.0.0.1 instead of a.a.a.a on scanning A itself, the result will be
a little different, but it depends on what/how other service configured on the A
system. Maybe you'd better try yourself than asking this question on the list,
no one has a certain answers.

What is the different between the results scanned by the machine (nessusd service run on itself) and those scanned by other machine (simulating attack through network traffic)??
In other words,
I have two testing model,
One is that installing the nessus package on the target machine and scanning itself.
The other one is that installing the nessus package on other machine and scanning the target one.What is the different between them??
The results will be same or not??
